Continuing Education for 2023
"Helping your patients by Identifying Myofunctional Disorders"

Lisa Jack is an orofacial myofunctional therapist and registered dental hygienist. She has been in the dental field for almost 25 years. Lisa graduated from Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. After years in private practice, teaching dental hygiene students, and educating special needs caregivers about oral health, she realized the impact myofunctional disorders and dysfunctional breathing have on a person. She has taken numerous courses and trainings over the years, which led to becoming a certified yoga instructor, certification in the Buteyko Breathing Method, and a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM®) through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). It is through her extensive experience and continued education in these areas that she felt confident in helping restore normal orofacial muscle function and healthier breathing patterns.
Specializing in myofunctional therapy often requires working with other dental and health professionals who understand the impact orofacial dysfunction can have on the whole body. The connection of our oral health and overall health couldn’t be more important. Lisa truly enjoy working one on one with children and adults, taking time to listen to their needs, and reaching therapy goals together for long-term results.
